I would like to start from the beginning and carry you in the past with me to experience a small miracle that took place. One beautiful Sabbath day, 4 years ago, I lived in a small SDA church in San Pedro. I woke up thinking what a great day to go and visit a new SDA church in Mexico.
I called up a friend and off we went in a matter of minutes heading toward the Mexico border. We didn’t have a clue where we would end up, but the nearest SDA church after crossing the border was our goal. We did a bit of investigating and to our surprise one church was discovered in a town called Rosarito. We arrived late and showed up toward the end service. But to our surprise, the church service has just begun. There was a baptism taking place! The church was so packed, the people were pouring out into the streets. There was no room to walk let alone find a seat! After service we were invited to stay for a fellowship lunch. We stayed and enjoyed the kind and loving hospitality of the Mexican culture. Right beside me sat a lady who was very virtuous and inspiring. Come to find out her name was Olivia! Goose bumps went down my spine. Olivia was a lady I have heard so much about but never in my dreams would have expected to be sitting side by side with eating a meal. She was a beloved member of the San Pedro SDA church where I was living from the past and was good friends with the current pastor of the church. I knew this was a divine intervention. From that day on, we have been working with several others on building a new SDA church in Rosarito for the Lord! May God give us the strength and speed to finish this project for those who are seeking Him.

This Sabbath morning was exceptionally blessed. On the road again! We attended service at the Seventh-Day Adventist church in Carlsbad, CA that morning.Nancy, David, Sofija We were spiritually filled, our cups were overflowing. The songs, the message, the people and the circle of prayer just gave us the energy we needed.

On the road again! Our next stop was La Gloria, Mexico. We found the orphanage that we were looking for, although a lot different from the first one we visited. To our surprise the children seemed just as happy as the other kids, but little did we know what they have experienced until we started asking questions.

Two girls and one boy were there due to sexual abuse. One 11 year girl was suffering from a painful bloated stomach. She has been sexually abused from her stepfather, who is now incarcerated. She hasn't had her period for two months so we were hoping she wasn't pregnant! We performed a pregnancy test and to our relief it was negative. She will go to the hospital and have an ultra sound to find the exact cause.

Another 11 year old young girl had a yeast infection that was causing great discomfort. She too was sexually abused by her father. We educated the women in charge there to help the child use the yeast infection cream correctly and closely watch for effectiveness and healing.

Our Anica Ristovskatrip to the orphanage in Mexico stirred our hearts deeply. We knew what to anticipate and the feelings felt prior and during the visit were like hands coming together in prayer. As we entered the baby room, we noticed several cribs lined up against the wall where their precious heads lay down to sleep. What caught my eye was a crippled boy at the age of 15 who had a serious brain surgery and never recovered fully. I was doing range of motion on all his extremities to enhance relaxation of his muscles and increase flexibility.
Another friend that was with us was playing with a little girl who wanted to be held and 5 minutes later fell asleep in her arms. Reason these children are there has a story of its own. We are there to embrace and love God's little children. Our short experience impacted us in a positive way. We're now more determined to spread the news to all who are willing to devote time or resources in aiding to those in need. Reason for this urgent call is to help the innocent children who are looking to us for compassion.
